Sydney Piercey Shares 5 Things She's Loving Right Now
The perfect linen overalls, a hand cream, a breakfast ritual and sweet print for her daughter's bedroom...
My friend Sydney Piercey is an Instagram friend. (We've never met in person, but hopefully some day!!) She is British, but lives in the South of France with her husband, their four young kids and three dogs. They spend lots of time outside, often barefoot and they enjoy making simple crafts. I love how accessible her crafts are -- no need to buy new materials, just use what you have!
Last year her first book Sustainable Play was published, within which she shares more than 60 crafts and games to make and play using things from around your home. From cardboard toys, to fancy dress ideas, games for the garden, the bathroom and even cardboard kitchen equipment for play, she encourages us to find ways to reuse everyday empties by transforming them into something to be enjoyed a little longer.
I was so excited she agreed to share 5 things she's loving right now...
1. My French linen overalls from BillyNou Apparel - they’re handmade from French linen and the comfiest things ever, my everyday go- to outfit.
2. Aesop hand cream - a small but mighty joy in my day to keep my hands soft in the winter, I keep a big tub by kitchen sink.
3. This Amanda Jones print in my daughter’s nursery, the brilliant artist is actually Aussie based!
4. Lighting candles at breakfast time- I’m a big believer in morning candles and with it being Autumn here we need all the candlelight cosiness.
5. Breakfast dates with my husband and baby- as new parents of 4, our rare weekly dates after dropping off our older 3 kids to preschool have become even more special!
This is part of a bigger series where I ask inspiring friends to share 5 things they’re loving right now. To see others, click here.
